I organize the youth recreation and sports activities for a small town in Florida. Unlike cities in the north, most sports can be played year round in the sunshine state. Though one must bear in mind that the summer heat makes certain outdoor activities impossible. Still, this is a year round sports state and as such my duties include planning events and arranging for sports trophies for all of our town activities. These sports are primarily baseball, soccer, football, and basketball. In contrast to northern states, basketball picks up in the summer here as baseball can only be played at night and half of our basketball facilities are indoors with A/C. I should mention that we have quite a few swimming events as well.
I purchase around 1000 trophies every year for the city and the majority of these are purchased online. I have found I can purchase a nice assortment of baseball trophies with different figures such as swinging batters, spinning baseballs and gloves large enough to hold a baseball for under $12.00 for the 1st place baseball trophy and an average price per trophy of around $7.00.
